Nine months into my two year UK working holiday visa and I took off to Madrid for sun, paella and sangria.
A very laid back four days exploring the Spanish capital, mixed with watching some tennis and a tour of the Bernabeu.
Temperatures that didn’t drop below 25 degrees with constant sun, was an enjoyable change from the London spring – it snowed on the day I headed back.
The gallery are photos from two free walking tours of the city and a visit to Real Madrid’s home ground, Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. I can’t get over how big the stadium is!
I also went to the Madrid Open tennis for second and third round matches and saw Andy Murray beat Radek Stepanek, Tomas Berdych beat Denis Istomin, Nick Kyrgios upset Stan Warwrinka, and Novak Djokovic won over Borna Coric.
